Melissa Lamb Brown is Principal and Owner of Relocations Strategies, Inc. (RSI), an Indiana-based company that plans and coordinates corporate moves with great attention to cost and time efficiencies. The company serves clients locally in Indianapolis, as well as nationally. She served as a Project Manager at RSI for four years before purchasing majority ownership in November of 2007. Since becoming Principal of RSI, Inc., Brown has turned the company into a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) acknowledged by both the city of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana and has earned her National WBE certification as well.

Prior to her career at RSI, Brown also served as a Project Manager for Meridian Real Estate and as a Design Solutions Consultant for Business Furniture Corporation. Earlier in her career, she was Assistant Facility

Manager at Hines, the company contracted for property management of Thompson Consumer Electronics. Brown was also a Project Designer for CSO Architects, Engineers and Interiors.

A 1992 graduate of Purdue University, Brown is a member of many real estate industry associations, including IndyCREW, the Indianapolis chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women. She is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), for which Brown served as a board member for three years. Brown has held her certification with the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) since 1995 and became a Registered Interior Designer with the State of Indiana in 2010. She is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) and is active in the Indiana Women Business Owner's (IWBO) Political Action Committee as well as in the Business Ownership Initiative of Indiana (BOI). She has also been a member of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). Brown was recently nominated as one of “Indy’s Best & Brightest” with the Junior Achievement Organization.

In 2001, Brown started an endowment called “Legacy of Life” in memory of her daughter Madelynn. Housed through the American Heart Association, Legacy of Life raises funds to support research for Congenital Heart Defects. Committed to her daughter’s memory through this endowment, Brown was a top fundraiser for three consecutive years for the American Heart Association. Brown is an active member of Christ the King parish and the Gabriel Project, both in Indianapolis.
